As far as I know, you can't just OC your ram. Basically, when you raise the cpu frequency, the ram speed is raised along side it (as long as it is at a 1:1 ratio to your cpu).

Not sure about your setup, but somewhere it should tell you your voltages for both the cpu & ram. It may not be right, but it should be close. If you know (for a fact) what the the default voltage is for the ram, then you could try manually setting it to that number, instead of the "normal" setting.

IMO, when in doubt, I find it best to read (or re-read) any basic overclocking guides you can find. I wouldn't change much without knowing exactly what it is you are doing...you could fry something expensive.

I just want to summerize then give my recommendation.

In cpu-z it says your ram is at 472 (since ram is double data rate it is actually 472x2=944Mhz). You want to get it higher.

If your board only supports ddr2-800, then you can only increase the frequency by setting the ram to ddr2-800 in the BIOS and increasing your FSB (which will also increase your cpu clock). If you don't wish to change your cpu clock, you could drop the cpu multi and increase the fsb to get the same cpu frequency as before (this allows you to have a higher fsb which equals higher ram frequency). For the voltages, check to see what the default vdimm is. My guess is that it's 1.8v. So to get 2.2v just select the +.4v option.

I think that explains it pretty well. Let me know if you have questions. Good luck!

Yes because it works differently for AMD.

I doubt AMD boards can't use SPD and use a PC2-8500 on a PC2-6400 board...

I understand what needs to be done now but i wasnt able to boot with a lower multi and higher fsb for some reason. im not sure even with the ratio being to standard clock speed or lower.
