Anybody having this problem?I brought up task manager yesterday to check on some things and noticed that it was only showing 2.5Gb of physical memory(2557Mb to be exact)!I have the memory in my sig installed(4*1Gb Tracers)and this is in Vista 64 with service pack 1 installed at format.Task manager has allways showed 4096Mb of memory untill I noticed it yesterday.Bios and controle panel both show 4Gb installed but task manager and dxdiag both say 2.5Gb.What gives?Some1 please help me regain my memory!lol.
P.S. All sticks have been memtested and pass.

Well,since no 1 here had an answere for me,I got off my ass and figured out the problem myself!
It seems that the boot maximum memory box in advanced boot settings was ticked and the max it would go to was 2556.Unticked it,rebooted and now I have 4093Mb again! Ha! Thanks alot guys/gals. ![]()

If I'm not mistaken,I think I saw some1 on here with the same problem a few days ago.What I can't understand is why the mamimum amount of boot memory alowed would be 2556Mb with 4Gb installed ![]()

Did you ever touch that setting before? It should always be defaulted to maximum amount.

Sorry for taking so long but yah ducky.I saw some 1s guide on here awhile back and it said to tick the boxes for memory and cores and set them as high as they go.I still don't know why it will not allow all for 4 gigs,but it's ok,I got it back and will leave it alone now.
