Okay, my CPU won't clock past 3.0without hitting instability, which I'm pretty sure is due to crappy RAM. So, I'm going to swap out to a better grade, and see what I can push to beyond the 3.0 range. Here's the RAM I'm looking at, if anyone has used it to overclock a 5000, I would appreciate input, or any input about the memory.

1000 RAM:

1066 RAM:

Now, all I ask is PLEASE no fanboism, if you like a certain RAM< say so, if you dislike another, say so, don't just scream MUSHKIN!!!11!!oneeleven!!!!

well i don't know if you can call this screaming.... but i really do like Mushkin...Had it on my last rig.... pretty smooth and pretty tight... haven't tried the 1000 and 1066 version sticks but I'm pretty sure they are great.... Are You in the U.S.? if so then the G.Skill is cheap and has great quality.... the almost zero DOA and their support system makes it a great buy for anyone living in the states...

Yea, I live in the US, the customer support was a reason I like G.Skill.

Snagged some Corsair at Best Buy today, got some cash from somebody.

2x2GB Corsair CGM2-5300/6400 (CGM2XG800) 5-5-5-18-2T

It should do for now, until I can get better and sell this to someone for what I paid.
