Default ram with low write,read and copy speeds?

hey, i just brought some 6400 patriot extreme performance ram@ 4-4-4-12, but my write,read and copy speeds seem way low, im getting

write: 7120 , read: 7203, copy: 6532 @ 5-5-5-15 @ 960mhz

are these speeds normal?

That's what I get with my memory, and yeah In my experince it is normal, although amd has the memory controller inside the cpu so it should do better than intel since my controller is in my board. You rarely get the full bandwidth at max. The bandwidth increases as you increase the FSB on your cpu with OC'ing. Decent numbers come at 1333mhz FSB and 1066mhz speeds for mem and it helps to have a 1:1 ratio to your cpu for you memory (the same speed mem as your FSB) . Which is why my mem is getting numbers like that too cause i need also to get higher stock speed mem.

ah well that makes me feel relieved, although them being slower than my previous ram there performance is better or seems it :S lol
