Ok I will remember that and definitely give the memory a shot and see what happens. I will post some results here when I make some changes and let you know how it is going. Thanks again for all your help.

err, i have that board and there's no option for me to change the northbridge voltage or speed
![]() you can still overclock your ram easily though. but i don't think you'll be stable once you already overclock your cpu, because of the lack of northbridge issue ![]() ![]() also the best setting for your ram is ungaged for dual channel and ganged for single channel. welcome to ocn btw.

Thanks for the welcome, yea I just noticed that
__________________ I am thinking of trying the Biostar TA790GX 128M Motherboard - AMD 790GX, AM2+ 128MB but not sure yet I want to Crossfire a couple Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 Video Cards - 512MB. I allready have one in this system and like it alot for a budget priced card.I have done some changes in the BIOS and this is what I have come up with so far but I am having problems bumping up my DIMM Voltage it is +10mv increments instead of standard voltage? I have it bumped to 15 now but no change in voltage but not sure how to figure it properly. Under the SPD tab in the one photo it shows no change at all voltage, timings etc... but under the memory tab it shows the changes I made with exception of the voltage? ![]() ![]()

Yes you overclocked the ram to 1066 succesfully
The SPD tab only shows "default" profiles, not your actual settings. If the default DRAM voltage is 1.8v, then adding 15mv gives 1.95v.

Thanks I just realized that about the SPD right before I read your post
__________________ The default setting on the DIMM Voltage was at 12 I just bumped it a little up to 15 or 3 more. I am getting confused on the conversion part of it it says in the bios 1=+10mv but I do not know for sure what the 12 is to start and a millivolt is equal to one thousandth, I am just confusing myself here? not sure where to go to get 2.0 volts for the memory at 1066mhz

You should download HWmonitor (32 or 64-bit version) and check the DDR voltage, then add some voltage in the bios and check again.
