I'm upgrading to an AM3 system. On my current set up I've determined that running my ram at lower speeds with lower timings seems to yield better performance in games. Even running at 400 instead of 800 to drop CAS one cycle seems to boost performance...
Anyway, I'm trying to decide what ram will yield the lowest possible timings. I found 1333 ram that has 6-6-6-20 and, 1600 that has 7-7-7-24, but I don't know if dropping the 1600 to 1333 or 1066 would let me go even lower or what.
Any suggestions welcome.
Also, I'm only looking at 2gb sticks. I want to be able to have 8gb.

AM3 Chips only support up to DDR3 1333 so anything after that is an overclock.

AMD chips also benefit from the tighter timings over bandwith as the memory controler is on the chip (thats my understanding anyway!)

Im running DDR3 1600 at 7-7-7-20 and im happy with it but im sure if I tried I could get mine to 6-6-6-20!
