Oh eh, it's been a while since I overclocked an AMD. But the HT link multiplies your FSB with a certain number, and you should keep your total FSB speed below that number or else it becomes unstable.

For example my socket 939 rig:
200FSB x 5 = 1000 (2000) = default.
250FSB x 4 = 1000 (2000) = also default, but with a lower HT multi and higher FSB.

I'm not sure, it could be x5, so you would have to set it to x4. Maybe the drop down menu can show you all the options?

Yeah, AMD doesn't have a multiplier for the HT link, just a list of speeds

For me it starts at 800MHz and ends at 2.6GHz

Neither does Intel, but that is what my socket 939 AMD rig had.

But I think your post explained it now. Your HT speed is 2.6 x 2 (5200MT/s as the board specifies). So if you drop it below 2.6Ghz you can probably raise the FSB more.

No luck with that. HT link is default 1.8GHz and 1.6 and 1.4 didn't help, so at that point I think I'll stop. 1175MHz is much better than my old 800MHz anyway

Ok well 1175mhz on a 2x2GB set ain't bad at all!

And I suppose someone could help you clock them higher as well
