I have 6G DDR3 triple channel memory (OCZ Gold 3 x 2GB, 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 ). I want to use them in my AM3 mobo (IGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard). My questions are:
1- Can DDR2 triple channel memory work with my AM3 mobo which only supports dual channel memory kit? 2- If it can, does it work in dual mode or single mode? Thank you, guys. I'm gonna really need to hear some opinions. |

I did run 3 sticks for a bit then realized that AM3 is not triple channel.
2 will run fine though. You have better speed buy may be loosing those tight timings of DDR2. But then if your motherboard only supports DDR3 like mine then you have no choice. Whack em in!
