Default Need advice on tuning RAM timings

Sig rig RAM
Patriot 1600MHz, 1.9v, 7-7-7-20-27-2T.
Have Arctic Cooling RC on them as well.

Currently I am running my ram at 1666MHz, 1.9v, 7-6-6-18-24-2T, and have yet to have an error in Memtest86+
Would it be safe to go to 2.0v to try and get some better timings? (Not going to up the RAM speed, FSB is at a 'sweet' spot )

Also, from what I understand the tRAS timing (18) should be tRAS = tCL + tRCD + tRP (+/- 1), but I have seen some people go lower then this rating. I thought that if you go lower it could cause data corruption.
The same thing goes for tRC timing (24), it shuold be tRC = tRAS + tRP but again I have seen people go lower.

Now, would it be ok if I lower the tRAS and tRC timings, and keep them lower as long as the pass Memtest86+? Or could there be a chance that they can still cause data corruptions.

All the other RAM settings should just be left on auto?

Have you tried to run your ram w/a 1T command rate? I have seen several systems similar to yours claiming to run 1T command rate?

Good luck, it may take you several tries to get the correct timings in order to run @ 1T command rate but for the most part I think your timings are pretty close to where they need to be.

Well to even begin, You have to find out what IC's you have on that ram.

What are the various speed/timings in "SPD" of CPU-Z?
Many times you can bump the vdimm a bit and drop to the tighter timings of the SPD display for the next slower rated speed.

EDIT: Sounds like you have the Patriot Extreme 1600 by the timings, am I correct?

Couldnt get T1 on 1666MHz 7-6-6-18-24 @ 1.9v
Bumped the voltage up to 1.95v and got T1

now you should run your memtest86+ to make sure your ram is stable then some system tests like P95 OCCT Orthos etc. Oh and If your overvolting your ram make sure it stays cool so you don't loose a stick or two
