Might not be worth it all that much, unless you run a lot of stuff all at once haha.

Also if you plan on cutting part of the heat spreader, take it off the ram first lol..

do you really own chickens? LOL and would it void the warranty? (most likely yes lol)


INSTEAD OF CUTTING THE SPREADER COULD I JUST TAKE IT OFF?

I think you should just get a different cpu fan, $35>$85 imo

RAM heatsinks are completely pointless. Just take the heatsink off of the first stick and you're set. I promise you it won't overheat.

Yes, I have chickens. Yes, it would void the warranty. No, if you take it off it may overheat. Ya, RAM can take a lot of heat, but I just wouldn't trust it.

Unless you hardcore OC it, it shouldn't overheat, plus it would be benefiting from the airflow the fan creates around it/near it.

It won't overheat unless the RAM is complete crap. Ramsinks are pointless.

YAY CHICKENS
I might also add even in 100 degree weather my system NEVER gets over 65 degrees celcius, always got gpu fan at 100%, as with every fan on my cpu / case =-)

Have you tested this? I would not just remove my heatsinks without any

@killer. Do you still have a 32 bit OS? If so, having more than 4GB of RAM is pointless.

EDIT........ HERE IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO TAKE THE HEATSINKS OFF OF THIS RAM! IT IS ON WITH CRAZY GLUE OR SOMETHING... SELL IT AND GET DIFFERENT RAM, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS!:::
