Might not be worth it all that much, unless you run a lot of stuff all at once haha.
Also if you plan on cutting part of the heat spreader, take it off the ram first lol..

RAM heatsinks are completely pointless. Just take the heatsink off of the first stick and you're set. I promise you it won't overheat.

Yes, I have chickens. Yes, it would void the warranty. No, if you take it off it may overheat. Ya, RAM can take a lot of heat, but I just wouldn't trust it.

Unless you hardcore OC it, it shouldn't overheat, plus it would be benefiting from the airflow the fan creates around it/near it.

It won't overheat unless the RAM is complete crap. Ramsinks are pointless.
