Default Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Memory Limit?

I recently got an answer from G. Skill stating that the Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P can't run F3-12800CL8D=4GBTD DDR3 1600 with 8-8-8-24 2T timings. Is that true?

Dear customer,

Our F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD is guaranteed for DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 2T@1.65v.
However, as we tested, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P could only reach about DDR3 1600 9-9-9-x.
We can’t even POST with DDR3 1600 CL8, even we used DDR3 2000 modules.
If there is any other query, please feel free to contact with me.
Thanks.

here is a list of the memory supported by your board from the gigabyte website. the board should support those speeds according to my findings but i guess it depends on the specific memory chips. hope this helps http://www.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memo...790xt-ud4p.pdf

I know that it does support 1600, but I am talking about the timings of 8-8-8-24 2T at 1600.
