Yes & No.
I had some RAM that was unstable. (Just RMA'd it) And it's been unstable for a month or so, but it didn't BSOD once, even while overclocked, but it did throw up some errors on Memtest86+, it just wasn't being used hard so it didn't BSOD. I had 8gb total, so it was less likely to BSOD over that, but if you had just 2x2gb, you would probably have a higher chance of those BSODing from a bad overclock, because more of those two sticks of RAM are being used at once.
