Alright I'll try and make it simple but provide as much info as a I can. I have an AMD 8750 black edition. 2.4 ghz per core, etcetc.
__________________The memory will only operate at 800. I followed some tutorials and tried to get everything where it's supposed to be. I may be misunderstanding but I'll provide what I can so you guys can correct me where I'm wrong. Stock CPU clock 2400mhz 12 x 200mhz 2400/6 = 400mhz memory clock. 200/400 1:2 Altered CPU clock 2665mhz 13 x 205mhz 2665/5 = 533mhz memory clock. 205/533 5:13 I may be entirely confused on how this works but that's not really the issue I'm presented with. This is: As you can see I set the bus speed and multiplier and the bios reads it as it should. But for one thing it's not 1.5 volts. I set it back to auto, from 1.25. It's currently running at 1.31. But none the less CPU-Z is getting entirely different readings. I have 8 gig's as well. If that plays into the issue at hand.

Yes, just using 2 sticks you can probably get it to run at 1066. But since you are using 4 sticks it might be too hard for your board.

Is it that it's 8 gigs or 4 sticks? If its only due to the fact that its 4 sticks, I might take two out and play around a little bit. Any idea why my clock speed won't lock into what it's told to via Bios? Coming up 25mhz short? Or is that common to see that when overclocking?

Yes try taking out 2 sticks, then it has got to be running at 1066.

Still no luck. Gonna try forcing it to 1066 in the bios. Typically I end up clearing the cmos with this course of action but I'll give it a shot anyways. Also, is it safe for my 3.3 to be at 3.45. Has been since I built this thing roughly 9 months ago or so.

If you revert to stock speed, and then set 1066 you can verify they can do it.

Thank you so much. Works like a charm. Gonna re flash the bios later tonight in hopes of getting maybe 6 gigs of it to 1066. Thank you so much again.

This article was of much use. I'm currently upgrading to windows 7. From what I hear, although windows xp64 can detect and use 8 gigs of memory, it does not take full advantage of it. I'll let you know how it all goes. Is there sufficient driver support for windows 7 x64, at this point?
