Default Help me get my tridents to their rated speed

I have 2x1 GB sticks of gskill trident that is rated at 1600 at 1.65v with timings of 8-8-8-21. When I attempted to reach this, I got an error and prime 95 decided to stop. What should I do to reach the rated speed?

I hear Tridents are nothing but fail.

If anything, you can knock up the voltage a bit higher, closer to DDR3 max, but I'd recommend an RMA and another kit.

Tridents never fail me. They are just binned very tightly. Post up your BIOS settings specifically all timings and voltage, and I'll be able to help you configure. Or if you could post BIOS pictures that would be even easier.

Here are the pictures of my settings. Sorry about the shaky second one. Voltage is on auto, which is 1.6 right now. I tried to run it at 1.66 with speed 1600 and timings 8-8-8-21, but it wouldn't work. Right now I am able to pull off 1333 with 7-7-7-21 at 1.6. What should I change?

Sorry if the images are not the correct sizes, I told them to resize, but I have not used one of these image hosting things before.

System Voltage Control - Manual
DRAM Voltage Control - 1.60V
NB Voltage Control - 1.20V

DRAM Configuration (submenu)
Change tRFC0 for DIMM 1 and 3 to 127.5ns. 110 may be too tight.

Let me know how that goes.

Tim

I don't have 127.5 as a setting, so I used 160ns. I still wasn't stable. Should I change the cpu nb voltage?

No that shouldn't affect your RAM much if at all (please correct me if I'm wrong somebody). I suggest you RMA them as it should not be that difficult to get RAM to it's rated speed...unless your mobo is retarded lol

Try 1.65V on memory voltage. If that's still a no go, try testing each stick individually to see if both will operate at 1600.
