SLi Ready has something to do with EPP.

SLI ram is pre programmed OCd ram, normaly 1066mhz, it has an extra profile (called EPP) for 1066 and one for 800mhz (default) so it can boot into any system. the SLI ready options are there for new ocers that dont exacly know what they are doing. it gives you the choice to OC the system by 5 10% or max, and expert. so its not just a gimmick but rather an auto OC thing. also change your dram voltage to 2.1 thats why its not posting

i see.
wonder what will happen if i set the ram to 1066 and have the sli thingy enabled?
but of course have the voltage set to 2.1
stock the ram is rated for only 800mhz but i read on this site they can handle upto 1200mhz.
think i should try it out?
i would like to get it stable around that or 1066,better then 800mhz

iunno if it works with other/all boards but my XFX 780i has the option to enable SLI memory and when i do my timming are tighter.

thats about all. but you actually need SLI to have it work well i think. i've always had 2 GTX 280's.

It doesn't work better when you are running SLI, but that's what they want to make you think. It's pure marketing, you can set those timings manually and it will work as well.

Enabling SLI memory over stock will generally give tighter timings
