Memory for x4 955 BE with win 7 64bit - Overclock.net

I currently have this

Crucial Ballistix 2GB

Bottom line is its not enough and when I play my FSX with REX it crashes. What DDR3 do you recommend. Looking for a 4GB kit under $100 that works with my x4 955 BE, MSI 790FX-GD70 and Win 7 64bit.

Buy another one of those if you want, it'll work.

I know nothing about memory and should of done more research. So what I have is good memory? I just need one more stick?

Your memory is good, but that G.Skill I showed you will do very well in an AMD build.

You could buy another stick and then have 4 GB of RAM with your two Crucials and one 2 GB stick, but performance would likely be sacrificed, as AM3 was meant for dual channel.

Edit: I looked up the memory and apparently there are some compatibility issues with your motherboard (and mine

). If I were you, I'd sell that RAM and get the Gskill I showed you.

Yea I know I had to buy this to get my mother board to boot and its just laying around.

If I use it will my performance be sacrificed. It was only $19 and I can get another one or should I sell my current memory along with this one for the g skill.

Memory sucks can't overclock. Why did you recommend these?

I would get the OCZ 3P1600LVAM4GK works like a sharm
i run mine in 1600 777,16,23 T1 1.68V

		Overclock.net - Overclocking.net > AMD > AMD Memory
