Default OC CPU and memory, could it be an issue?

Howdy!

OK I am new to all this OC stuff and have started fooling around with things. I have an unlocked 550 @ 3.6. Today I installed 4g's (2 x 2G)of PNY xlr8 1066 memory. But they will only run at 800 top speed. I read a few 1066 hep posts and tried to adjust voltage. In my bios it would only let me adjust in +.10 increments. So I could go from 1.8v to 1.9 or 2.0 or 2.30. What I mean to say is I cant get a Voltage of 2.1! I changed it to 2.0 and manually changed the multi to 5 so it would run at 1066. It booted up and went to desk top. But when I tried to open my control panel it locked up.

So does any one have any other ideas? Or should I keep looking for low volt 1066 that will fit under my CPU cooler?

Thanks

What is the highest stable speed u can get? U might have to run it at around 900MHZ with 4-4-4-12 timing. and at the highest voltage.

dont use 2.3V it will kill your ram pretty quickly
900mhz at 2.0V should be fine
