Default Need help with this DDR3

OCZ Technology | Products | Memory | OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum Edition

these ram are rated 1.9v so I have that setted in bios....setted 1.4v for the cpu and 250mhz...ram setted at 667mhz, it booted alright and work fine at least for now...but according to cpuz my ram is

Dram frequency 667mhz
CL 6.0 clocks
tRCD 6 clock
tRp 6 clock
tRAS 16 clock
tRC 22 clock
CR 2T

above is auto in bios, spec is CL 7-7-7-24 according to OCZ website http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...atinum_edition

Windows won't boot if I set it to 800mhz, most likely I need to manually set the settings in bios instead of using auto but that does not matter, what I want to know is my present setting at 667 safe? I mean is CL 6-6-6-22 ok? Ran a few pass of memtest without error, so I suppose it is safe right?

Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, I have 4x1GB of this ram.

I am planning to build another computer for my daughter, I already bought MSI 770-C45 motherboard with Athlon X2 240 cpu, now should I move the ram to the MSI and buy something else for the Gigabyte? or should I ebay them and buy something new for both computer?

Please help...tia

my ram is pretty similar and im getting some of that stuff in the coming days so i will let you know if i find any good settings.

but for now go into the bios set the dimm voltage to 1.9, the multi to 5.33 (or whatever it takes to get close to 800mhz)and the timmings to 7-7-7-24-2T
the 2t command rate is important as alot of phenom II's have a problem running at a 1t command rate

if you still cant boot then 6-6-6-16 is fine by all means,(maybe a little slow) but they will probably do 5-5-5-15-1t at those speeds which will sort you out

just get some generic ram for the other computer as these are probably one of the best sets of ddr3 availiable

Well maybe when using all 4 slots you might need a tad more VDIMM or higher chipset voltage. And 6-6-6-16 is pretty good for DDR3, even though it's at 1333mhz.

Yep, same again, I can't set it to 6-6-6-20 at 1333, It wont post and needs a CMOS reset, even with a slight voltage bump!
