So NCIX gives a nice little discount on 4GB of Corsair Dominator of DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24CL ram if you bundle it with a P II X4 965, drops from 185 to 135 wich is about what i was going to spend for 4GB of OCZ AMD black edition ram DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24CL ram.
__________________Now i do not presume to understand the differences in ram types, timings, etc... but i would like to get the best bang for the buck so to speak. I *think* dominator is supposed to be top of the line yes? I know the 2 final candidates for my mobo are the Crosshair III and the MSI 790FX-GD70 wich i think will support either set of memory? Just trying to get an idea to see if there is a difference between the two, they are basicly the same price but only because the dominator gives me a discount when i pick up a P II x4 965 at the same time. What should i get?

OCZ AMD SPECS:
1600MHz DDR3 CL 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) 1.65 Volts Available in 4GB D/C kits Black Edition Ready XTC Lifetime Warranty Unbuffered 240 Pin DIMM Corsair dominator specs - 4GB memory kit (2 x 2GB) for use with Dual Channel DDR3 Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors - 1600MHz - Latency of 8-8-8-24 for maximum reliability and performance - Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) Support - DOMINATOR Heat Spreader - Limited Lifetime Warranty so to be perfectly honest, theres not much difference. They both run at 8-8-8-24, the ocz's run at 1.65v whereas the dominators run at 1.8v...so in that respect i think its better to have lower voltage ram, because if your having to lower the voltage of your memory to match the cpu, your obviously gonna have o lower the speed of the ram too otherwise it wont have enough power running to use at high speeds. So if the price is better if you go with the OCZ kit, then i say go with them.

also both boards support the memory you are looking at, however i wouldnt go with MSI...they arent that reputable to be honest, i think you would be better of with the crosshair 3.

As far as the MSI board, it is a great board. Especially with the 965
