I'm building a comp for my friend with a 955BE and MSI GD70 790FX motherboard. I'm looking into RAM for him, and I'm trying to figure out what's best.
__________________I've heard "AMD likes tight timings" and "1333 with tight timings is better than 1600 with loose timings". How much truth is there in that? any benchmarks? cause I couldn't find any. Also whats a great overclocking RAM? I was looking into G.SKill Ripjaws 1333:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231276 Mushkin HP 1333:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146868 Mushkin XP 1600:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146871 or Mushkin Redline:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226076 Redlines seem to be the best timings/speed/voltages. And I'm really leaning towards those. Any opinions?

Read a friends's post at XS->
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=234689 If you are unfamiliar with Chew*, he is a AMD guru (literally) and has encyclopedic knowledge on AMD to sum it up the *best* ram is the best DDR3 - Elpida MNH-E Hyper... but new MGH-E Hyper should be great too...

the timings aren't the point - the point is the Elpida Hyper ICs play really nice on AM3 were as BBSE doesn't come even close to the Hyper ICs on AM3...

Well, I'm going with these. Sean at Mushkin says these are good budget DDR3 RAM they have for AMD, so I take his word for it, they do tight timings and high speed.
