So I've got a Gigabyte ma790xt-ud4p motherboard, and I just got a Corsair Dominator 6gb 1800mhz 3x2gb ddr3 ram. The ram is a tripple channel and my mobo does not support that. CPUz tells me that im running in dual channel, that means two of the sticks are in dual and the other one is single right? or is cpuz not recognizing it?

I have never seen anything saying AMD supports non matched sticks and dual channel like Intel's? But Who knows maybe I just missed in hours upon hours of searches?

I am pretty sure it is running in dual channel for two and single for one. I forgot what it's called though. Dual-Channel Asymmetric mode? It shows six gigs right?

The only part that confuses me between the tripple channel ram intended for I7's and dual channel for AMDs is the different voltage. The high end Dual Channel Ram always wants 1.9v give or take a little, while the Tripple Channel is much lower like 1.4 or something. I was always baffled if that made a difference.
