Ok i've seen a couple of threads with similar issues but with different boards, ram and just wanted to check with you guys. I dont want to do anything wrong
Ok firstly heres my RAM... http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...b_dual_channel Are the only things i need to check/change the Voltage, timings and memory clock. So, firstly ill change my memory clock to x5.33 instead of x4 like this... ![]() Then, the voltage. I know where to change the voltage and what to (2.1v as thats what it says on the OCZ website) but the options on my motherboard are +0.1, +0.2, +0.3 ect so i do not know what i am putting through it at Auto? ![]() Then lastly the timings. I have really no idea about these, never changed any of them or anything (this is my first real pc, only just getting into it). On the OCZ website it says the timings are 5-6-6-18 and looking in the DRAM Configuration in the Bios it looks like these are already set...? I have no idea but the first 4 options at the top do say 5, 6, 6, 18, so im assuming this is correct? ![]() Sorry the the large post with pictures on something so simple but i just want to make sure everything is ok that i am doing. So really if this is how to do it the only thing i need to find out is how many volt is running through atm so i know how many more to put into it. Thanks, any comments would be really helpful.

Default memory voltage is 1.8v, so you need to set it to +0.3v. OCZ's EVP says it's fine up to 2.15v (+0.35v), but I don't think that's needed.
Stock timings are 5-6-6-18, so if the "auto" setting on your mainboard uses 5-5-5-15 it might not work.

In the DRAM Configurations the top 4 things are 5, 6, 6, 18 and thats the timings that OCZ said. So arn't they correct timings as it is so i dont have to change them? What makes you think the auto settings uses 5-5-5-15 when the DRAM settings (which are all set to auto because i dont know what to do), the top 4 are set to 5, 6, 6, 18? Sorry if im missing something really obvious, im still new to this. ![]() EDIT: Also in cpu-z in the memory tab it says... CAS# Latency (CL) 5.0 clocks RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 6 clocks RAS# Precharge (tRP) 6 clocks Cycle Time (tRAS) 18 clocks So from my little knowledge does all this mean that my timings are correct and all i need to change are the memory clock and voltage?

So if you want to use the correct timings change 6-6-6-18 into 5-6-6-18.
