Default Help with Crucial Ballistix PC3-10600

I have 4GB (2x2GB) sticks of Crucial Ballistix DDR3 PC3-10600 CL6.
BL2KIT25664BA1336

First one probably easy question.

What is more stable? High speed with relaxed timings or normal speed with tight timings?

I would like to get one of both options below.

1333 @ 5-5-5-15
1600 @ 6-6-6-20

Don't know if possible because right now it's at 1600 but with 11-11-11-?? (Can't remember right now the last digit but it was up high in the 20's, maybe 29). I've upped the voltage to 1.9v. Is this enough? Stock they go 1.8 I think and I've heard about people setting the Dimm Volt at 2.0.

Before it was at 1333 with 9-9-9-24.

Every time I enter the BIOS the manual setting of the timings is so confusing. There are much more than 4 parameters to set so I'm quite lost.

Anybody has these RAMs and the same Mobo that could help me?

Thanks in advance.

On an AMD System, Cas 5 1333mhz would be incredibly fast with a high northbridge clock.

But on those sticks you could probably do 1333mhz Cas 6-5-5-13 as your lowest timings.

Or 6-6-6-18 @ 1550mhz

As far as what setting you need to change, it goes: CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS

So Cas = 6
tRCD = 6
tRP = 6
tRAS = 18

And because you'll probably need to set it:

Command Rate = 1T

This is a good bit of info on memory timings.

I'll try to learn the basics (again) and start slowly. Probably my problem is that I want to get at fullspeed at the first attempt and with all components at the same time.

It's a buildup man.

Most of the time, you cannot set an overclock to it's max unless you previous had that set a second ago.

Very few chips like going up to 4.0ghz imediately.

OK. So I tested yesterday evening the following setting in the BIOS.
btw. Tweaking in the BIOS scares me ... but I guess it's the way it has to be done. I had a couple of nights before a no boot situation and only clearing the CMOS saved it.

Memory Clock = 1333Mhz
Cas = 6
tRCD = 6
tRP = 6
tRAS = 20
CPC = 1T

The rest of the options which I have not tweaked. Don't know what to set so I pretty much copied the [Auto] values.
TwTrD = 6
Trfc0 = 110ns
Trfc1 = 110ns
WriteRecoveryTime = 11
Precharge Time = 6
Row Cycle Time = 30
Ras to Ras Delay = 4

Ran SuperPi (1M) and it took 20 seconds, no errors. Is this enough to know if it's stable? What time should be my aim for these sticks? I recon reading in some forum or review that these sticks could go to 1333-CAS5 with enough voltage.

Any other software you recommend for benching the rams?

Thanks again for your help. (Rep given)

As for your aim, I was able to get 1550mhz Cas 6 on those same IC"s, it's a stick to stick chance, but I'd put that up there.

What ic do these run on? What good ic that do well with PH II/Athlon II anyways hm, I'm planning get a a pair. Oh and what max safe volts for this type of ram?
edit:How common is it to find memory @that speed and timings?
