Default What would be better to run my DDR3 at

Ok here is the Ram I have wise it was better low volts stuff but its not.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220285

Now I got my CPU running at 3.9 And my NB at 2600.

Now my ram I have at 1333 with 7-7-7-20-27 timings at T2

Would 1600 7-7-7-20-27 run faster or is the 1333 better. I'm not sure if its stable at the 1600 also cuz I have not tested it with the cpu and NB clock I have set now but should it be faster.

Also should this ram be T1 I cant seem to get it to run at T1 for the life of me at 1600 even when I first put built the RIG.

If you can run it at 1600 stable then of course it will be better. test it with memtest.

From what I have been told. AMD systems perform better with the tighter timmings. Intel performs better with higher speeds. I would overclock your RAM as high as you can without having to loosen the timmings.

^^ I know this was true for the older AMDs - im not sure about the current ones.
General rule - as fast as possible with as low as possible timings - regardless of chipset (rather obvious statment though)

1600 cas 7 will be faster - no doubt - if it isnt stable - try adding some voltage to them/NB

Well if your gonna run 1600mhz you certainly have to loosen the timings to 8-8-8-24-auto and yes it should run at 1t but make sure to leave the last one on auto.

BTW all phenom/i7 type architectures run better on higher mhz if im not mistaken

if it will run at 1600 with the same timings there is no reason to loosen them. just make sure it is stable.

Guide: AM3 CPU's Which Ram Speed is Faster and Which CPU-NB Clock is Best

If your kit is rated 1600mhz 7CL, you should be able to run 1333mhz 6CL fairly easily. You should be looking at 1333mhz with the tightest timings you can (6-6-6-24 or lower) and upping your NB Multiplier. Also T1 should be easy to achieve from my experiences with DDR3.

Ok So at the 1600 7-7-7-20 T1 I fail with in a min
CPU at 3.9 and NB at 2600

Now 1333 6-6-6-18-24 T1 has passed OCCT for an hour like 10 mins away
CPU at 3.9 NB 2600

Is the 6-6-6-18-24 T1 good enough to not be at 1600 with the NB at 2600

1333 cas 6 will be better than 1600 cas 7 with your setup. of course the difference will be tiny anyway, but youll notice it in benchies
