Okay. It looks like this is your motherboard: ASUS M2N-MX SE.
It only has two RAM slots and it looks like whoever put your system together gave you some fairly cheap RAM but has maxed out your board for you. You have 2 x 1 GB DDR2-667. The board takes DDR2-800. However it does NOT appear that the board is designed to take 2 GB sticks of RAM. Or, if it does, it will operate them in single channel mode only. My suggestion? Either live with getting 2 x 1 GB sticks (example from the QVL list: Kingston 1 GB stick @ newegg) and sell your old RAM, or save up for a total upgrade. Frankly, IMV, replacing your DDR2-667 with DDR2-800 is not worth it on the system you have. An Athlon II X2 240 and a decent 785G motherboard can be had for a very decent price. You could them match it with a 2 x 2GB kit. Corsair 4 GB kit Gigabyte 785G chipset based motherboard Athlon II X2 240
