I am having some problems with windows blue screening on me quite frequently and I think it could be a ram issue at the moment I have 4*512 Geil ultra x currently running at 2.85v at 2-2-4-5 if I change the settings to 2-2-2-5 it will blue screen even quicker does anyone have any ideas to solve this.

couple things... first are those the timings the RAM is supposed to run?
next, you may have a bad stick or maybe are running them at too tight of timings. download and run memtest86. if you get errors then you know your problems are memory related. test each pair independtly. if you get errors then test each stick individually. if both pairs work then try them together. You may have to lower the frequency or loosen the timings to run all 4 sticks at the same time. Also, be sure that you are running a 2T command rate since you have 4 sticks. another thing, please fill out your rig info.

The thing is that if I just have one slick of ram in it will still blue screen, in fact it will blue screen even quicker with one stick in.
__________________The memory is susposed to run a 2-2-2-5 but at the moment i have just set the motherboard to do the timings automaticly. But my problems have got slightly worse now when I was playing HL2 it blue screened on me, when it tried to restart it seemed to hang on the Abit start-up screen so I flashed the c-mos and now when I starts up nothing appears on the screen. I’m now pretty sure that it is now a motherboard problem as I don’t think it is a GFX problem as it was working after it crashed.

alright a couple things....
first, you need to manually set your command rate to 2T and with the winchester core you need to set your RAM to DDR333 instead of DDR400. the older core can't handle 4 sticks at DDR400
