When I go into my BIOS (Phoenix) the VCore won't go higher than 1.45 How can I get my voltage up farther, to possibly 1.5 or higher? Also, can I change my CPU Multiplier in this BIOS? If so, I can't find it. Help?
Thanks, pow3rtr1p

Yes you can change your mulitper in the bios and also that is the only way you can >
I don't know about how to show you. And If you can't go any higher than 1.45 look for speical vid control in the bios

So I figured out how to lower the multiplier, now it's at x9. However, I don't see the use in this. Anyone want to help me out as to why I would want a lower multiplier?

My board actually likes a higher bus speed. So I lowered my multiplier from 11x to 9.5 times and raised my bus speed which also increases my RAM speed (I had to use a divider, of course). I went from only 2.86 ghz stable at 11x mult with 1.61 volts vcore to 2.86 ghz stable at 9.5x mult with 1.54 vcore and faster Super Pi score.

Or some people want to run quiet machines so lowering the multi will make the chip run cooler. But as Kaxx said, usually people lower multis for higher fsb speeds. If you have two machines running at the same speed but one has a high fsb and low multi as opposed to the other with high multi and lower fsb, the machine with the faster fsb will perform better. Another great feature of lowering the multi is that it allows you to test your different maxes of the components for better OCing.

AMD's multis are locked upwards. 'Cept for a few ones, such as the FX's and older processors.
Unless you do a hardmod or find an edited BIOS for your mobo, you wont be able to go above 1.45v.
