I need a good performing PCI-E motherboard. It must be socket 939 for my brand new opty.

well, normally reg ATX boards dont have onboard video... so, if you want a "top performer" you might want to go with like a Asus board, and maybe a X1600, or 7600gt...
prob $100 for board, and like $120 for the Video card if you just want to have a working computer, you could go with like a 7300 but you'll want a good board either way... preferably an Asus, EpOX, or Gigabyte. ~Higgins

Your going to have to compromise somewhere. I take it your not planning on gaming until R600 comes out?
My advice would be to go with a good quality board - e.g. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MB-017-DF (there are other stockers at that price) and then pay £40 or so for something like a used 6600 if your planning on doing light gaming or £20 for a PCI 6200 ![]()
