My friend just got an Opteron 165 to replace his 3700+, as the title says, he has an Asus A8N5X on BIOS 06xx so there shouldn't be a compatibility problems, although when he boots it up it gives him a "NTLDR is missing" error. All he did was swapping the processors and resetted CMOS in hopes of it working, but then he got some error beeps concerning the NTLDR file thing as it says on the screen. He tried switching his memory around and even tried switching HDD priorities between his 2 HDDs and nothing seems to work. Anybody got an idea?

NTDLR is part of the windows boot system that is on the master boot record, have you tried to repair the windows installation. Other than that I think it may be a re-install
