Hey OC'rs.. New on here and have a small issue that maybe someone else has had or it could be a mobo problem.
__________________I get no readings from the Chassis Fan sensor under Asus Probe and also there appears not to be any way of reading the PSU fan rpm even though there is a connector for it!! Anyone else having the same issue? current BIOS 1007-003 cheers

all my fan headers work fine on my A8N SLi dlx, when i have a fan header connected to them that is, uknow, that lil thing that plugs into the mobo, each header that has a specific task its supposed to be used for, for example, chassis fan header, it wont give a reading unless you have a fan plugged onto that header.
__________________dont mean to make u sound dumb but it kinda sounds like your expecting the fan headers to give a reading when theres nothing connected to them

runnin 1006, was using the latest beta but it didnt solve my problem so went back to 1006. that beta doesnt even look to have any fixes, at least not what i saw when i nosed around doing things in the BIOS, oh well, the story could be worse, my SLI-D has horrendous compatability issues with memory, DFI really needs to fix thoughs problems pronto.

i wouldnt worry too much, its only a dodgy sensor, its not going to affect the board, and built it temp sensors arent all that great anyway.

EDIT: Ok... I did not make clear which chassis fan, this is #2 as #1 is OK in reporting .... Anyone know how to read Chassis 2 and the PSU fan speeds from the mobo? Thanks
