Gigabyte sempron board

does anyone know whats a good gigabyte motherboard for the sempron processor? Doesnt nForce 2 support semprons?

I got the GA-7N400S-L and it doesnt look like it supports the sempron. Its hsowing up as an athlon XP at 1ghz ( and its a 2400+ processor). And im looken around and it looks like no motherboards actually support the sempron! what gives!

What kinda sempron? 939, 754 or Socket A? Socket A if you're talking about XP right?

I have a 2500+ Socket A on the family rig and it has a :turd:ty ECS mobo. Obviously Gigabyte is better but in the ECS board's case I had to flash the bios which turned out ugly. Hopefully Gigabyte will be able to figure out the processor right away but you might need to flash the bios. Check out the Gigabyte website for compatibility.

K the bios section for your GA-7N400S-L says this:

1. Supports AMD Athlon™ XP 400MHz FSB processor
2. Supports Dual Channel DDR400 memory architecture
3. Integrated Serial-ATA interface with RAID 0,1 function
4. Supports AGP 8x interface for outstanding graphics performance
5. Integrated 10/100Mb Ethernet controller
6. Integrated 6-channel AC’97 audio with S/P-DIF function

...didn't mention Sempron though. The only ones on the list mentioning Semprons are the 7NF-RZC and the 7NF-RZ

Im looken for a model for my base model for my business and i had this damn gigabyte nforce 2 mobo adn on my first build, turns out to be incompatible so i need to find something compatible with the sempron. I think im going with the A7N8XX.
