Question ASUS A8N Sli + GSkill mem

Just been offered 2gb of gskill hz DDR500 at a reasonable price, but cannot find out if they are compatibile with my mobo and will run at right speed.

Seen some chaps with gskill and nf4 boards, but I know my mobo can be a bit fussy, can anyone shed some light on the subject.

Just that I read somewhere that someone couldnt get them to run at stock speed on that mobo, something to do with voltages. But cant find it again lol.

No, it is 184 pin DDR, not 240 pin DDR2, double checked that earlier.

That ram should work great and if you have any voltage issues then you can fix that by FLASHING the BIOS to a premium board instead of a deluxe

Is it that simple?. Will flashing the bios upset my raid setup? What are the benifits of the premium bios over deluxe bios? Questions questions questions!!

I have the An32 SLI and used to have the ddr500 and,end with no luck.I sold the hz to a member in here. But after some time i find that maybe they should work if you reset cmos.I check and only a few people have that memory to work in those mobos.Check with chozart or duke they are experts with those g skills ddr500.

Thanks for the kind words, but I'd don't proclaim to be an expert with the HZ.
Bottom line, all in all it seems some Asus 939 MBs are a bit fussy with them. I do recall you wern't the only one have difficulties with them alexsid
