Default killed my mobo

well tonight I tore my 64 rig apart and added a blow hole to the case and made some fan rearangements. well when I went to put every thing back together I put my mobo in first. when I went to put my psu in the little piece of mettal in the case that it rest's on was a tad bent so the screw holes wouldnt align right. I decided to use my screw driver and bend it back a little.
BIG mistake. I ended up with a scratch in my mobo, now it wont boot.
Im sure the scratch is the problem because it will power up, but if I touch the scratch it will immedatly power off, and will not power back on untill I clean the scratch with isopropyl alcohol.

Im ready to kick my self in the butt right now
thats $130+ down the drain, and its gona be at least a month b4 I can get my 64 rig running again.
if any one has any ideas of what I could try to get my mobo running agin in the meen time please let me know.

try cleaning it really good then cover the scratch with silicone or epoxy to protect it. will it run at all or just boot? does it work properly if you dont touch the scratch?

I feel your pain man.... I just got my computer running about a week ago after over 8 weeks of torment... The peice of crap just seems to hate me, but it's stable and running well nwo.

Just find a replacement as quick as you can, order it, and try to wipe it out of your mind.

that sucks man... it happens to all of us at some point. It happened to me when I was building a pc for a friend. I was fitting a stock cooler on a NF7-S mobo when the screwdriver slipped. I took a chunk out of the board

may sound crazy, but try covering the scratch by colouring it in with a crayon.
