Default Problems with PC restarting

i just bought my compuet parts and put them together and now my computer restarts randomly ranging from 1 minute after logging on and 30 mins. i have changed out the power supply for one that i know works and i have tested each stick of RAM individually and also in groups to see if htey were bad. it may be possible that they are all bad but how do i test them and is there anything else anybody can thing of that i can check for? if you need any more of my computer specs let me know and i will let you know

PS i am lucky i got this typed without it restarting on me = )

I would say Im 95% sure its either one or all of your ram chips. You can download a program here. Its simple to use and has a gui. Follow the directions and let it run for the time period it suggests.

i just ran that program and it can up with 27 errors on 2 x 512MB kingston PC 2700 DDR. Is that extremely bad or is that a normal amount? what is normal?

Thats really bad! My ram was faulty with only like 3 errors when it ran all night. Can you say "RMA"? Normal would be to have zero errors.

That is affirmative. Or you can just live with the random restarts...

you can also try increasing vdimm to try and iron out at least enough of the errors to stop it restarting
