If you are planning on dual gpu's in the near future, then yes...update the bios.

If you go through and read the bios histories, you will see some fixes that have been made.

And usually its never a bad thing to have the latest bios.

There have been some bugs reported with this board and the updated BIOS are neccesary to fix them. I have this board on order and it will be here Friday. I've been reading up on it and basically the consensus is it's a good board, but by rushing to be the first out with SLI, it has been a bit buggy. the fixes in later BIOS versions are neccesary to get the SLI working smoothly and to tweak/overclock with stability.

Here is a link at OC Forums that answers some of the issues...

those updates changed the logo and gave some more options in the bios. can my windows get corrupted by overclocking? cus the other day i oced my cpu to 2.3 and then my windows didnt boot, i loaded default conf, took off the battery, and anything worked and it sayid that the registry was corrupted. then after a time of trying to get it boot i finally got into the welcome screen but it didnt go further so i had to reinstall.
