That would be the awesome 580x chipset. my NF570Ultra has well, average options, but it doesn't even have chipset voltage control

What I see there ? 3 hours and so many answers ... I'm glad

Quote:
Actually it IS a great overclocking motherboard, if you knew how to overclock it. 220Mhz sounds about right, you need to drop down your Hypertransport link speed down, it has to stay around 1Ghz or below to be stable. So drop it down to 3x to continue overclocking.

Don't blame the motherboard if you're new to overclocking.
The thing is that I have already droped it down and still the same ...
That's true I haven't overclocked many CPUs but I've read alot about it and just can't try my knowledge because my screen goes down ...

Anyway , even if overclocking features on that mobo would be pretty good I think I can blame it for the reasons I decribed in my first post ,can't I ?

Quote:
i have a msi board right now. in my bios there is only a few options for overclocking.

fsb
voltages:nb,ram,vcore,sb,cpu vtt
ram timings

i disabled all i was supposed to(c1e,spread spectrum etc)

i cant get mine stable past 2.33 on my intel e6300 no matter what i do and i tried for weeks

now it may just be i dont know what im doing but i did read alot on anandtech forums on what peoples bios settings are and what they did to achieve decent overclocks to no avail. i posted some things on some other forums(seeing how people here do not really use the board i have) andpeople were stumped.

i was thinking it could be that the bios is limited on my board.....

anyway, my overclocking experience with msi has been negative so far but u might just have to do a little more research. if u already have then maybe your in the same boat i am

i will be getting a blood iron as soon as newegg refunds me for my 2900pro wich sterted artifacting like crazy(man i got some bad luck LOL). that should have an overabundance of bios options to fiddle with. hopefully i'll have some better luck with that board.

good luck to you too bro
I don't know if your result of overclocking is quite well , average or bad on your CPU .
I'm sure Your new DFI Blood Iron is gonna be muchhh better with no doubt

However I don't wish you as good as mobo as mine Hope You'll get some good piece .

Great , I've just finished reading posts of the thread you gave me ... What can I say ... So it's not a mobo ,right ? You gave some quotes that convinced me ,my mobo has huge OC possibilities

So what it might be ? My first thought was that it's fault of BIOS settings ,but I tried almost all in BIOS and still the same ... Graphic card or what ? I'm out of ideas .

Being that PS has 18a on th 12v+ rail, perhaps the PS can't provide enough stable power if the system load is to demanding.

Wow, I haven't had a single problem with my board, although I wish it had been x16 x16 sli, but no biggie, i'll probably see the same performance anyway. I got my best overclocks on my board and everything else is fantastic too.
