Since no 4800+ was ever a single core, I'd have to say yes, your MB supports DC CPU.
You may however need a BIOS update. Check the link and note "• Supports up to 4800+ or higher CPU" listing under CPU support. http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?f...=171&cat3_no=6 Then there is the "CPU Support" tab http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?f...cat3_no=6#menu The oddity is the first link says 4800+ or higher but the CPU support page don't go beyond that high but list Optys single and DC, and all single core A64 and some DC CPU. Its probably not bee fully updated to list the higher speed A64 CPU. If it supports an Opty 185 @ 13x for 2600, it should support up to a 5200+ which also uses a 13x!+ So yes, it supports the 3800+ DC CPU Is that enough Concrete for you

A 4000 series DC I assume, so how about this, if you can find an Opty 170 you'll get twice the L2 cache. Most A64 with 2x1024 L2 are not available and those that are have 2x 512 L2. Food for thought.
