Hi guyz not being here in a while!!!

Well my asus AV8 939 mobo is suffering a very weird problem

The thing began when my sister removed dayly the usb cable of the ADSL usb modem the ()=#&(#&# did it forcelly, the first thing were some BSODS and no video when booting.

Later it became whorse, this last couple of days it delayed to boot up, and yesterday it worked perfectly in the morning, then turned off and do some other stuff and when came back like 6 hours later, my sister was using the ADSL in her laptop, and when I turned up the pc id didnt post, just turned on all fans, the CPU was cool, no worked for couple of hours )#%&#(&%(# so i dismantelled it and put the parts apart, decided to buy a new pc, but well, i decided to try again since im out of money, and im here again, the only thing is that now it is lagging a bit before doing post. But it seems that if I reboot to much, it wont do it again.

***FFF IS GOING ON??? I dont OC this pc, no play whit the bios ***FFF!!!

Well I left the pc on all night, im using it now, only whit no sound, but the rest is working 100%, i have not rebooted... I have no idea of what is going on...

First try to clear your bios (take out battery and leave it outside for some time)

If this doesn't work I can only recommend you to backup your data and then format C:. and install windows again.

Check or replace your MB battery,if it's going bad it can cause all kinds of weird problems.

Really the battery could cause this wow!!

Well in the past hours I have been fighting whit the PC

Imagine, the video card, the sound card, the CPU itself!!! I had to press them all again, change several times the sound card of pci, then the onboard satas were gone!!! they worked again when i pressed hard the connectors!! ***FFF

Also removed tha battery, even used the cd whit an older bios and DMA -1 not found Fatal error ***

I need a new MOBO probably, ASUS says 3 years, and i have 18 months, dammit, i cant reach them rrrggg!!! their site sux for help!!!


Now it boot fast again...

I tested all my "knowledge" lol hahaha thanks guyz, this is the weirdest problems of all!!!

The battery powers the BIOS,save settings keeps time.If it is low it will cause all kinds of things.Have you had to reset the time on the PC lately?thats one possible symptom.

Do you have some spare RAM to try? One of my sticks went bad last week and gave me horrible problems loading/installing/video output/etc.

You should run memtest on the memory and get the utility from WD at test your Hard Drives also
