Default ASUS M2R32-MVP - should I get it?

Open Box on Newegg

I'm looking for a reliable, easy to overclock motherboard for a 5000+ BE, with crossfire support. This has raid....doesn't have any IDE though so what will I have do to get an IDE dvd drive hooked up to it? Also, does anyone know if the crossfire for that board is x16 and x16? I would appreciate your thoughts on this motherboard with the information I've given. Thanks!

for the IDE you can always buy a controller card. i know cheap ones are like $20. but then again thats on top of the mobo cost so you might as well get one that has it. how about this one? DFI CFX3200

It shows an IDE connection in the picture! I think they left it out in the write up. I tried to confirm that IDE and Asus, there site is down ATM

Open box, never know what if any accessories you'll get.

Well, they've taken the open box M2R32-MVP off of Newegg for now, but hopefully I find one for cheap somewhere even without all the cables and stuff cause I'm such a cheapskate

Thanks

I just replaced one of these MB's with a M3A32-MVP and that board does have a IDE plug.. And was a great board till my PCI slots died. Just got it back from RMA...

The USB bracket that comes with the retail version, is that just the USB ports that are one the front of the computer case and the cable connecting them? If so then I assume those aren't actually necessary and can be put on later. Is there a sort of universal one of those that i can buy separately and will work for whatever motherboard and case I buy?

Buying anything open-box from newegg is a bad idea in my opinion. I have seen so many parts get sent back because of DOA or some other issues. Just go with the standard retail boxed model and pay the extra money for security :0
