Ok here is what happened...
__________________I was in the bios resetting my overclocks since i had to replace my zalman 9700. i got a "overclock failed" which is normal for me to see. so i went back to tweak again. this happened a few times. then the next boot i got a bios boot recover utility and it wanted the m2r32mvp.rom, so i threw in my motherboard cd (i have an asus m2r32-mvp) and it erased the old bios and copied the m2r32mvp.rom then it asked me to reboot. i rebooted and now the screen is blank. no signal is going to my monitor. did the bios chip not fully recover thus its trashed? i reset the cmos and took the battery out and all but that did nothing. thank you for your time and help!

I did clear the CMOS. That did nothing, as far as I can tell.

Ah jeeze, you shouldn't have flashed the bios.
Asus boards get some terrible stupids when they don't like an oc. I'm always crashing my Asus boards and have always recovered. I do the following 1) Unplug PSU, cycle psu while cycling the front panel power switch. usually works. 2) if 1 doesn't work, same as step 1 except this time I use the clear cmos jumpers. 3) if 1 and 2 fail, pull the ram and do step 2 again 4) in the most extreme cases, I pull the ram and all power connectors from the mobo, leave cmos jumped and let it sit over night. Always have recovered from a failed OC.

Asus tech support isnt there because of a snowstorm. I am going to have to assume a need a new bios chip. It appears easy to replace to.

And as for 4, leave the cmos in the "clear" setting, pull power from psu, and remove all ram, that right?

Yes, leave it in the clear pos, also disconnect the psu from the mobo.
