Freeline, according to several other posts on the internet about this board, the command rate (CR) can be changed under "DRAM Configuration" but I had a look at the 560 manual and couldn't find anything related to command rate. Does anyone else have this motherboard that can confirm this?

Good luck

nope you gotta change it but be aware that some bios's like CR1 over CR2

My 550 will do 1T all the way to 290fsb but does NOT like 2T at all...

it's in the ram timings though and a modded bios can be had at rebelshaven.com

dr botie, are you running a modded bios or standard updated bios from biostar? Do you have an option in your dram config that will let you change your command? I'm gonna check out rebelshaven, thanks

BTW: the very first time i went into the bios my tim was 4-6-6-18 1t i haven't changed anything, i thought it would start at stock 4-4-4-12?

I tried both....

1st I tried the stock bios and it was in there but named a little different than usual.

I do have a modded bios in it now because I needed some of the unlocked options to get better clocks....

But the 550 I have loves 1T...cpu and every program I have reports 1T and it doesnt get as far with 2T but this is only on a couple kits of Patriot LLKs and OCZ kits I have...

My ballistix will only do 2T

Bowtie, do you happen to remember what it was called(displayed as) in the stock bios?

The BIOS that shipped with my TForce 560 didn't have any memory timings options. Flashing to any BIOS found here should fix the problem. The most stable BIOS is the August 3, 2007 version, but alas they don't offer it on the web site anymore

I used the one from January (also no longer available), had a few settings that wouldn't "stick" but besides that it overclocked just as well as the Aug 3, 2007 BIOS I used on a different build with that board.

I've found the HT Link to be pretty picky on the TForce 560. I had to decrease my HT multiplier to 4x to even get it to post at 230MHz on the reference clock. I had to lower it again at 270MHz. Just something to keep in mind, others have had no problem pushing the HT Link further though.

EDIT: Oh, and as far as I know, the BIOS can only be updated with a floppy drive, which is a PITA if you don't have one.
