I'm trying to upgrade my cousin's computer:
Mobo: GA-M61PME-S2 CPU: X2 4000+ Brisbane RAM: 1GB Corsair DDR2667 HD: WD 250GB GPU: eVGA 7600GT I was thinking about the 5000+ BE, some new RAM, a AC Freezer, and 8800GT (or something cheaper). His budget is pretty low - $275 I can fit everything under budget (after rebate), the only thing is, I don't know if his mobo is good for OCing... I have tried some initial OCing to his current CPU, but I can't find the option for voltage adjustment. Also, when I try to OC his current setup, CoreTemp shows his cores at 7C/12C. His mobo shows 46C/53C. I'm assuming the CoreTemp is wrong? And it is the most recent CoreTemp as well. Also, when I adjust the FSB, it doesn't show in Windows that the FSB has changed (nor final clock). But when I reboot, the BIOS is still set for the higher FSB. I'm confused... Ideas (on both issues)?
