Default new ram= bsod/freeze

i got some corsair 2gb set but my system keeps crashing and rejecting it ,wth man? what are the configerations to make it boot (what slots to put the ram in)?

Look at the specs on the memory and see what the voltage is. Restart your computer and go into your BIOS and see if your board is under volting your memory, if so; input the voltages that are recommended by the manufacturer and see if that fixes your unstable memory.

You can also run memtest. Google memtest and you can find the download and burn it to a CD and boot from it to test your memory.

Vtech, I would make sure to reset your BIOS to it's default clocks before adding any new components especially if you had a previous overclock. If your system is OC'ed then I would recheck your settings. Perhaps the new memory is not up to speed with your previous set.
