Default New 790FX Chipset in early July, SB750.

SB750 makes it overclock better

AMD is working on a new AMD 790FX board and this time it will match it with SB750 Southbridge. The new Southbridge makes a really big difference and despite a few new features, such as Raid 5 support, the new Southbridge will make the board overclock much better.

According to some internal data, AMD promises up to 300 or 400MHz better overclocking on these new 790FX boards paired with SB750 Southbridge.

These boards should be available in early July time and they will launch simultaneously with 790GX, the new king of IGP graphic performance.

From what I have heard besides this the over clocking potential on these will be much nicer. Looking forward to seeing these soon and how they do.

I'm willing to bet that the overclocking increased ability of the boards will be mostly due to tweaks and optimizations done to the NB and not the SB itself. They have to sell boards you know, and while a new SB is nice, I don't think that would be enough for most people to justify an upgrade.
