Maybe its a failed overclock? I'm not too familiar with DFI's, so I appologize if I'm way off here

As long as you are in the BIOS including running memtest from the BIOS option, there will be one LED on.

Example: If you are getting 3 LEDs on, it means the rig is having trouble detecting the RAM.

The lower(PCI) Amber LED is the 5VSB indicator. The upper Amber LED is the RAM voltage indicator. Once the rig has started and been shut down the RAM LED will go out until the PSU is power cycled.

It jumps from 4 to 3, then back to 4. So its either the cpu or ram right?
I'll run memtest on each of the sticks on saturday, if it passes on both sticks, then I think I have a bad cpu

Bad CPU, or the vcore is so far off it can't POST.
But, since you done the CMOS clearing, I doubt that is the issue.

So, if the RAM checks out the CPU is likely history.
Still, have you tries to reseat the CPU?

Have you got another CPU with which to test the motherboard?

Perhaps insufficient power is being fed to the CPU on POST?

Darken, I really hope this is not related to the "4 LED's of Death". This is a very common issue with the LP boards. All though in your situation your still able to boot by changing a few things in the BIOS. My guess would either be a failing OC, a faulty/failed component or possibly a corrupt BIOS (unlikely but could be happening).

This may solve my issue by changing the battery. I know I have caused a few problems by overclocking.

No, I haven't tried reseating the cpu, but that could be the problem. From one of the links thlnk3r posted, it said it could be caused from damaging the mobo when installing the cpu hsf. And I might have done that because I didn't use the springs that came with the tuniq, which might lead to too much pressure applied.
And if the bios is corrupted, I could replace it with one of these right?

If those are legit BIOS chips, then yes, you can just simply pull the old one out and slot the replacement in.

Have you tried reflashing the BIOS to a different version? Maybe its corrupt for some reason.

Ahh my Old Ultra D..still in use..i used to have these issues sometimes and had no idea what caused and what fixed them..First of all what are the specs of that psu...sounds like a cheapo one..you need a good quality psu with DFI also it is VERY picky on the ram..have you got any spare ram to try out. First thing to test is do this, disconnect everything just leave 1 stick of ram in, the cpu, the gpu and powersupply, switch it on and then see if you get post..then add the hard drive and keep testing, you should be able to rule out what it is.
