When you get it up and going with the 533mhz you should flash your bios to the latest release revision (not beta), this may mean you wont need to worry about that. It may detect automatically that this ram needs 2.2v

However, I checked that your ram in your sig rig is not on this motherboards QVL, there may be a chance that this ram may not work anyway regardless. You may want to think of getting ram for keeps, that you know is 100% compatible.

yer, but lets face it half the time the manaufacturers test the cheapest and nastiest ram about, and say that the good stuff doesnt work, plus if i have seen people running this ram on my board, googled it so hope is still here!
but i may need to earn some more cash to buy an pci ide controller, this mobo has only 1 ide slot and both of hard drives and disk drives are ide.
also the board supports xms2 extreme, this is the same memory chip as my DHX albeit different heatsinks and the extreme is a lower end chip!

In that case I think you should be grand. Be sure to post back to let us know how it goes. Best of luck with it.

Could you return the ram after?

Can you tell what bios version the mobo has? it is usually written on a sticker on the mobo near the atx power slot. Though it may be elsewhere, just have a look around the board. It will be of the form 1.x etc.

That may be the PCB version number as there is only a v1.0 for the pcb, is there any other version numbers on the board you can see?

Your processor isn't supported until at least v1.5. There are 2 revisions of your proc, one is supported at 1.5 and the other at 1.7.

The post below is the one from when mine wouldn't post after I built it. A bios update fixed it.

What worries me is that people have checked this code out a few pages back and they say it's a ram problem...

If your bios turn out to be pre-1.7ish you should RMA and ask them to update the bios on the board before they send it back too. I guess it's best to rma it anyway...

I know how frustrating this can be.

Yes, very strange problem indeed. i reckon one of my DIMM slots could have fried, if so, then an RMA is the only solution. I think it is ridiculous that my processor is not supported until v1.5, it should be compatible out of the box, the 4400x2 is nearly 3 years old now!

however i reckon my bios version must be at least 1.5, otherwise it wont support any processor at all!
