That's right, SpyKe, but no apologies necessary.... it looks like your voltage controls are under the PWM Setting.

By the way, have you read through the AM2 Overclocking Guide?:

http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ocket-am2.html

.... a lot of good info there that might be helpful to you.

Ok, now I have a problem. I don't have a CPU VID Control option.

My BIOS are updated from the DFI site for the date of 03/05/2008. What now?

According to the mobo manual, the field for CPU VID Special Add "provides more options to further adjust the voltage of the CPU"

Ok, if that is where I change my voltage, why is there huge numbers when that is selected? Its not like 1.2 blah blah GHz. It has 4 digit numbers. Hold on, I'll take a pic to show you guys...

SpyKe.... I've been doing some looking, but I haven't come across any other places to change vcore.... what is an example of a value that comes up in that field?

Howdy, I happen to have that exact board. You increase the core voltage by an odd little value called "cpu special add" +175.OMV is 1.45 ,to give you a base line.
And to check your Voltage use a program like CPUZ(in widows).

NOTE: The value will not show in the bios when you first change it, but it will show when you restart.

After thought. Using this MOBO I achieved a 3.31ghz (perfectly stable) with a AMD 5000 BE, give it a go (Voltage was 1.48 when I did so, and I kept it that way for months).

No problem. People helped me all the time, if I can help someone else (especially with a problem I was having) Its the least I can do.

Ok now trying to follow neoseeker, they got it to 3.396GHz. Thats a nice OC so I would like to try to also get it at that.

To get this result:
  • manually set the HT speed to 283MHz for both the processor and the chipset
  • set the HT multiplier to 4x - again, for both processor and chipset
  • leave the Vcore alone, the automatic settings do a great job (or manually ser for 1.45V)
  • set the DDR voltage to 2.1V
  • choose the "DDR667" memory speed setting, this will map to 849MHz with a 283MHz FSB
  • set the memory timing to 4-4-4-12
  • manually force the "2T" option
So this is what I have done so far: manually chose the DDR667 setting, set the timing to 4-4-4-12, manually forced the "2T'" option, dropped my multiplier to x12.

Now what is the HT multiplier, the HT speed and how do I change it?
