Hey guys, I just got my 5000+BE & DFI 790fx m2rs in yesterday and Its all installed and up and ready. Now I would love to OC this guy to its full potential but this being my first build, I'm not sure where to go.
I did the updated patch using WinFlash, but I'm not sure if I did it right. Is there a way I can tell if it was updated correctly? I load into my BIOS and looked under GENIEBIOS, and wow... there are a lot of settings. But the one thing that I really want to find is the Multiplier setting. Where is this located and what is it called? Sorry for being such a n00b ![]()

For some reason, I can't find it. Anyone with this board know the exact steps to take to get to this?

This is what I see:
GENIEBIOS
- Timing Mode = Manual (I set it to that from Auto) - Mem. Clock Value or Limit = DDR400 - CPU Clock Ratio = Auto (This is the only place where I see things such as x13,x14, etc.) - Cool & Quiet = Disabled (I set it to that from Auto) - Spread Spectrum - Disabled - CPU Host/HTT Clock = 200MHz - CPU Host/HTT Bootup Clock = 200MHz - CPU Host/HTT Adjust Gap = 5MHz - PCIE CLock = 100MHz.

.... I believe that the CPU Clock Ratio would be the CPU multi.

SpyKe, all you would have to do is set it to something other than the default of x13, for example x12, and then check it against the value in CPU-Z to see if it matches.... if it does, then you know you have found the CPU multi.
I hope that helps!

Awesome! That was so EASY! Though, now I can't get my processor to run stable after x15. Once I get it to 15.5, it loads to windows but as soon as I run Prime95, it crashes. If I run it at x16, it quickly shows BSOD then cycles through POST again, and repeats.
I know I need to raise my voltage now, but where do I do that? Again, I'm sorry for being such a n00b at this, but you gotta start somewhere right?
