Anybody know if Foxconn is planning a BIOS update for this board?

Oh really? It doesn't work? I was going to do the same. Did you do it through VMWare? If so, I think you have to enable the virtual machine feature in the BIOS. This feature is often disabled when you choose to overclock your rig.

i got "softreset failed" error (maybe relate to JMicron chip). i tried to install it directly, not through VM tool

I think the last version P07 is from january. I have mine since 10 days ago but will build the PC this weekend with a X4 940BE.

Is there something not working with current BIOS that you are looking for a new one?

Well, I heard from ppl with P07 that they ran across some issue after changing their ref clock or mult. Normally, the comp will save the new BIOS setting and re-boot itself but in this case it does not reboot and it just hangs. It would be awesome if Foxconn release a new BIOS where we can save the new bios settings or multiple.

I also found that once you make OC changes in BIOS, turning off the comp and let it sit for a few seconds will do fine.

I have also had issues with coming back to sleep and also after restarting the comp will hang before getting into the BIOS screen.

I have my board here but I will install it for the first time this weekend. If it doesn't come with P07 i'll install it. I don't know if it will boot with current system coming from a Gigabyte with nvidia chipset... after I backup everything I'll do a fresh install and let you know how it goes....

i had this problem with my 9850BE but i do not have the problem with my 720BE (not rig in sig, is in my systems list though)

With the 9850BE as soon as ACC was enabled it would not reboot after saving OC settings, a simple push of the reset button would make it boot, but it becomes quite a little annoyance.

The 720BE installed, same bios. Reboots after every setting save, ACC does not hang system (also does nothing for 4th core, but i dont think anyone had gotten this board to unlock a 720BE) ACC also does nothing to help OC.

But all in all, the motherboard seemed to lose all its bad quirks and annoyances once the 720BE was installed.

EDIT: This is all on newest bios P07

Thanks rhoxed. Thats good to know. I'm planning on replacing the 9850be with my 720be chip. Yeah, no ACC is needed to oc the 720be. I think you only need the ACC enabled if you want to unlock the 4th core but I doubt the foxconn board is capable of doing that.

I wish foxconn would release a new BIOS which will allow us to save the OC setting, BIOS flash option, and also cpu temp display on the mobo.

Does anybody know how to use wireless keyboard and mouse with this motherboard? I can use keyboard in bios, but I can't use mouse and keyboard in XP. So I have to buy another wired keyboard and mouse right?
