New bios P07 (in May not in March) uploaded @ foxconn website can fix "FF" error. However there is a bug in ram setting of DCT 1. I set TRAS at 15, it shows 13 after reboot. Then I set TRAS at 17, it shows 15 as wanted :-)

I'm staying with P06 for now. Hopefully Foxconn releases a new BIOS soon enough.

Default what do you use to overclock.

ok.... I wan't to start overclocking a little....just a little for now until I get a cooler other that the stock one (currently 39C for CPU and 34C for system on idle)

My question is, do you use FOXONE, AMD Over Drive or no software at all to overclock??
Any A79A-s specific TIP for overclocking?

thanks!

@diegolaz, what is your cpu? if it's black edition just bump the multiplier up until it becomes unstable then up the volts with 0.025v increment.

I normally start with stock clock and volt then oc via AMD overdrive. Test for stability. Then apply through BIOS.

The Fox One utility is garbage btw.

I have a 940BE. So you use AMD overdrive.... when you find something stable you set up the same changes in the BIOS? sounds good.

I went from 15x to 16x and increased from 39C to 56c

Thanks for your help!

@diegolaz: Yes, that's what I did to start with. Is the 940BE really that hot? My 720BE is running really cool, always under 50C @3.2ghz.
